Education.
Ashley Prew is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, where she developed a strong foundation in probate and constitutional law. While in law school, she participated in the Trial Practice Institute and was a member of a trial team that advanced to the international finals in Washington, D.C. For her upper-level writing requirement, she completed an in-depth analysis of probate codes and civil rights, including a comparative review of probate laws in multiple states, and received the Jurisprudence Achievement Award for earning the top grade in the class. In addition to her academic achievements, Ashley gained hands-on experience by working in probate practice throughout law school, preparing her well for a career focused on serving families and protecting vulnerable individuals.

Ashley Prew’s record of community service reflects a genuine commitment to leadership and service to others.

As a member of the state Mental Health Diversion Council, she supports practical, compassionate solutions that help individuals access care while strengthening public safety.

Her role as a board member of the Rotary Club of Flint underscores her belief in giving back to the community, and her service as a former school board member demonstrates her dedication to education, transparency, and thoughtful decision-making.
